Terms of Service

Last updated: August 19, 2026 · Applies to 1:1 mentoring sessions booked through this site
In short: this is educational mentoring, not financial advice or a guarantee of any outcome. You keep full ownership and confidentiality over anything you share. Sessions are booked and paid individually — no subscriptions, no lock-in.

1. Who this agreement is between

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mentoring services offered on this website (the "Service"), provided by Robin Doyle, based in Helsinki, Finland ("I", "me", "the mentor"). By booking a session, you ("you", "the client") agree to these Terms.

2. Nature of the service

The Service consists of live, one-on-one video mentoring sessions focused on algorithmic trading fundamentals for beginners — including defining a trading system, structuring it for automation, and testing/validating it.

3. No financial advice, no guaranteed outcomes

I am not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or investment manager, and nothing provided through the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Trading and algorithmic trading involve substantial risk of loss, including the potential loss of your entire capital.

I make no representation or guarantee, express or implied, regarding the profitability, performance, or suitability of any system, strategy, or idea discussed. Past performance of any strategy, backtest, or example discussed in a session is not indicative of future results. Any decision to develop, test, deploy, or trade a system is made solely at your own discretion and risk.

4. Booking, pricing, and payment

5. Rescheduling, cancellations, and refunds

6. Confidentiality

Any strategy, code, data, backtest results, or other material you share with me in connection with a session ("Client Materials") is treated as confidential. I will not:

I may use general-purpose AI tools as part of how I prepare for and work through sessions. Where this happens, it is subject to the same confidentiality commitments above — see the Privacy & Confidentiality Policy for details on how this is handled operationally.

You retain full ownership of any strategy, code, or idea you bring to a session or develop during one.

7. Your responsibilities

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or data loss, arising out of or in connection with the Service. My total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the session(s) giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Intellectual property

Any general teaching frameworks, explanations, or materials I created before or independently of a session remain my property. You are free to use what you learn in a session for your own purposes, but general session materials are not to be resold or redistributed as a course or product without my written permission.

10. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
