Privacy & Confidentiality Policy
1. Who is responsible for your data
Robin Doyle, based in Helsinki, Finland, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy-related question, contact robin@algomentoring.com.
2. What data is collected, and why

3. Third-party processors
Booking and payment are handled by third-party services acting as data processors on my behalf:
- Calendly — scheduling, calendar sync, reminder emails. See Calendly's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles and stores your payment details directly; I never receive or store your full card information. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both Calendly and Stripe maintain their own GDPR-compliant safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers — see their respective policies for details.
4. Confidentiality of session content
This section covers the material you share about your trading system, code, or data — separately from the booking/payment data above, because it deserves a stronger commitment.
- Anything you share in a session — your strategy logic, code, backtest data, results, or screen-shared material — is kept confidential and is never shared with any other client.
- It is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, mine or a third party's.
- Where I use general-purpose AI tools as part of preparing for or working through a session, I do so under those tools' business/no-training terms where available, and I avoid inputting identifying or sensitive details unnecessarily.
- I do not reuse your strategy or data for my own trading, or for any other client's benefit, without your separate written permission.
- Materials you send me (e.g. by email or file share) are kept only as long as needed to deliver the mentoring relationship, and deleted on request.
5. How long data is kept
- Booking and payment records: kept as required by Finnish/EU accounting and tax law (typically up to 6–7 years).
- Session content and materials you shared (code, strategy notes, data): kept only as long as needed for the mentoring relationship, and deleted on request or after a reasonable period of inactivity.
- Email correspondence: kept as long as reasonably needed to support the mentoring relationship.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data I hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention requirements (e.g. accounting records);
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Finland, the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.

7. Cookies
This site itself does not set tracking cookies beyond what's strictly necessary for it to function. The embedded Calendly booking widget may set its own cookies to support scheduling — see Calendly's Privacy Policy above for details.
8. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above.
